HSANZ & Zoie Moore Research Foundation Travel Scholarships

HSANZ & Zoie Moore Research Foundation Travel Scholarships

Supporting haematology research, professional development and collaboration.

The Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ), in partnership with the Zoie Moore Research Foundation (ZMRF), is pleased to introduce a new Travel Scholarship Program.

The program supports HSANZ members to attend and present their work at major haematology conferences, providing opportunities to share research, strengthen professional networks and foster collaboration, with particular consideration given to research relevant to blood cancers and the objectives of ZMRF.

Scholarships available each year

Three scholarships are offered annually, with a total value of $10,000:

      • $4,000 – EHA-aligned International Travel Scholarship
      • $2,000 – BLOOD Travel Scholarship, with priority given to non-physician applicants
      • $4,000 – ASH-aligned International Travel Scholarship (applications now open)

The international scholarships are not restricted to EHA or ASH and may support attendance at other eligible international haematology conferences.

About the Zoie Moore Research Foundation

The Zoie Moore Research Foundation was established in memory of Zoie Moore, who lost her five-year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in 2022, aged just 22.

Inspired by Zoie's determination to help others, the Foundation is committed to advancing research into ALL, particularly for adolescents and young adults, and supporting the development of more effective, targeted and less toxic treatments.

Through this partnership with HSANZ, the Foundation is helping haematology professionals access opportunities to share knowledge, build research collaborations and contribute to improved outcomes for people affected by blood cancer.
