Position: 2026 Haematology Clinical Trials Fellow

Description: The Clinical Trials Fellow position is full-time within the Eastern Health Clinical Team. The primary fellow role is to coordinate and manage all clinical trials' patients both within disease focused outpatient sessions and independently in collaboration and guidance with disease-specific leads and the clinical trials nursing coordinator team.


As of mid-2025, Eastern Health has 68 registered trials, 35 were active recruiting, 25 active non-recruiting i.e. ongoing active patient follow-up and 8 in start-up phase. All malignant haematology diseases are represented including amyloidosis-specific trails as the state reference centre for this disease.


The working week is 4 days per week with flexibility as to either a full day or two half-days off, plus a one in six weeks after-hours on-call combined with clinical and laboratory haematology trainees.


Eastern Health Haematology team is a young vibrant, convivial group of consultants, trainees, experienced trial coordinators, clinical nurse consultants and a highly specialised nursing team.

We are looking for a similar minded post FRACP, FRCPA haematology fellow to join our team with the knowledge, approximately, two thirds of recent Eastern Health Clinical Fellows have returned as current junior haematology consultants, many with leadership roles.
