Haematology Research Fellow - Haematology Research Department North Shore Hospital

We are looking for an eager and enthusiastic Haematology Research Fellow to assist and conduct local and international clinical trials, specialising in outpatient phase1,  2 & 3 clinical trials. We are known for our high standards and friendly team.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, Mon-Fri). NO SHIFT WORK OR WEEKENDS! One year fixed term contract with focus on Haematology Research. We offer competitive remuneration on an independent contract (4 weeks of Annual leave plus CME)

Some of your responsibilities include:

  •  Ensure that clinical studies are carried out according to International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH), regulatory authorities’ requirements and any other local policies and requirements
  •  Attending patient visits, evaluating treatment per protocol
  • Implementing clinical trial protocols including clinical assessments, diagnostic test ordering and result interpretation, phone triage and liaising with key study and medical personnel, and sponsors.
  • To conduct research projects
  • Keeping up to date with latest research and training.

You will be able to expand on your relevant training and experience in clinical haematology, and generally be either in the final year of Haematology advanced training or within 5 years of completing FRACP and/or FRCPA training in Haematology. Consideration would be given to physician trainees completing RACP qualifications with applicable experience.

Please note, you must be registered or be eligible for general registration as a Medical Officer with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
