Registrars completing training this year and recently qualified haematologists are invited to apply for this 12 month opportunity of Haematology Clinical Trials Fellow at Fiona Stanley Hospital, commencing February 2026.

Fiona Stanley Hospital Haematology provides tertiary services for Perth’s southern corridor, as well as catchment from regional centres through the WA Country Health Service and speciality service provision for the state for advanced cellular therapies (allogeneic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapy) and haemophilia.

The primary role of the Fellow will be assisting with medical care and coordination of patients on clinical trials, with a focus on malignant haematological conditions including cellular therapies. Depending on the interests of the Fellow, additional work is available within lymphoma, myeloma, haemophilia, thrombosis and cellular therapy programmes at FSH, including CAR-T cell therapy.

In addition, the successful applicant will have opportunities to participate in investigator-initiated research projects during the year, drawing on local prospective clinical outcomes databases and collaborations with other translational and clinical research groups.

Participation in the clinical haematology overtime and on-call roster is optional. Salary and conditions of employment can be discussed with Head of Service, Dr Duncan Purtill.
