A magnificent opportunity has been created for someone who has completed their training in haematology and is ready to develop advanced skills in private practice clinical haematology under the direct supervision of senior consultants. To develop your research and academic career, dedicated time is also allocated to undertake research as appropriate to further your skill development in the specialty of haematology.
Working under the direction of Icon’s Director of Haematology, the role has equally significant expectations of your clinical competency and compassionate approach. You’ll be supported to deliver best practice assessment, evaluation, and advice according to professional standards. In doing so, we’re seeking a caring professional who can act as an advocate to assist patients to make informed decisions, showing a level of empathy, respect and inclusion that aligns closely with Icon’s values.
The position in South Brisbane is offered initially as a 12-month full-time position, with the possibility of extension. Core shifts are Monday to Friday with the reasonable expectation of some weekend coverage throughout the year. The details of this arrangement can be expanded upon at interview.
We’ll be looking for your completion of dual RACP and RCPA training with current or pending FRACP and FRCPA qualifications, and eligibility for AHPRA registration as a specialist haematologist and consultant physician.
