Northern Health is seeking a Thrombosis Fellow to commence February 2024.
Applications close on Friday 29 September 2023
This fellow will be involved in the thrombosis service provision which includes the development of a virtual thrombosis service. Our thrombosis service sees over 400 new thrombosis patients a year and leads a dedicated anticoagulation stewardship program with concurrent active clinical trials and investigator-led research. We also provide a general haematology service that sees haematological conditions ranging from thrombosis and haemostasis, obstetrics haematology to malignant presentations including acute leukaemias, lymphomas and myelomas.
This fellow will work alongside our already accredited registrars and clinical team. Research is also an integral part of the Haematology Unit at Northern Health. Our investigator-led haematology research focuses on thrombotic disorders with a dedicated thrombosis research laboratory at the Northern Research Precinct and led by NECTAR (NorthErn Clinical diagnostics and ThrombovAscular Research) Centre, supported by a number of PhD students and offer numerous publication opportunities as well as higher research degree projects.
